The Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment offers undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. These courses provide University Of Cape Town UCT undergraduate students with the skills and knowledge needed to design, construct and maintain infrastructure and systems in various fields.
For admission to the Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment, applicants must obtain the National Senior Certificate endorsed for degree studies, meet the required admission point score and satisfy specified subject requirements.
Applicants with international school leaving certificates must have met the requirements for matriculation exemption and have the subjects and grades required.

Please note: for admission in 2024 the National Benchmark Tests are NOT required for applications to the Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment.
